HC Deb 31 July 1946 vol 426 c938
34. Mr. James Callaghan

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will reconsider his decision to close the Malta George Cross Club at Cardiff, in view of the use made of it by Maltese seamen.

Mr. George Hall

I am advised that very little use is being made of the club by Maltese seamen visiting Cardiff. The club is being closed temporarily for cleaning and reorganization and it is hoped to reopen it in about two months time.
