§ 30. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has considered the case of Mr. David Phillips, of Aberdeen, of which he has notice in writing, an innocent man who was questioned by the Aberdeen police about a theft he did not commit, but whose name still appears in the police records as a suspect; and, in view of the fact that Mr. Phillips is a citizen of good character and a pensioner, if he will have the records rectified.
Mr. FraserThe police records relating to Mr. Phillips, which are confidential and conform to normal police practice, are confined to a statement of the time and reason of his presence in the police office and note that further inquiry disclosed no evidence that he was in any way responsible for the theft.
§ Mr. HughesThank you, Sir.
