Lords Amendment: In page 79, line 57, at end, insert:

"9 and 10; Geo. 6. c. 28. The Assurance Companies Act, 1946. Paragraph (b) of Subsection (1) and paragraph (b) of Subsection (2) of Section five; para-graph (b) of sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 3 of Part III of the Second Schedule."

Before we part with this Amendment, which is the last of the many Lords Amendments which have been carried through in a very short time, may I congratulate the right hon. Gentleman on having got through so many Amendments—which are so obnoxious to so many of his supporters—at such a late hour, and so very late in the Session?

I am much obliged to the right hon. Gentleman. This Bill has seen many changes since it was first introduced, and I am glad to observe that it has been immensely improved since I first received it from the right hon. Gentleman himself.
