asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what numbers of livestock the Czechoslovakian Government have purchased through U.N.R.R.A. from this country; whether this livestock has been bought in the open market or privately; and what have been the average prices paid for the respective species of livestock purchased.

U.N.R.R.A. have bought 1,742 animals in the United Kingdom for their Czechoslovak programme. They were advised about their contracts by the Livestock Export Group. With the hon. Member's permission, I will circulate the details of their purchases in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
