HC Deb 16 July 1946 vol 425 c1052
76. Mrs. Ganley

asked the Minister of Labour what charges are made to men employed away from home and living in industrial hostels; whether he contemplates any alteration in these charges; and whether the proportionate rebate will still be allowed to those who desire to spend their weekends at their own homes.

Mr. Isaacs

On the first two parts of the Question, I would refer to the reply I gave on 2nd July to the hon. Member for Dewsbury (Mr. William Paling). As regards the third part, a reduction in charge in the hostels will be made only where absence exceeds three nights.
