§ 46. Major Guy Lloydasked the Prime Minister whether it is proposed to issue the Defence Medal ribbon to all those eligible for it before the Victory Parade on 8th June.
§ The Prime MinisterAwards to serving members of the Armed Forces and of the Police and Fire Services are proceeding. The manufacture of the ribbon and the printing of the forms of claim are not sufficiently advanced to enable me to make any accurate forecast, but I hope-that by 8th June awards will have been made, and the ribbon issued, to a fair proportion of those in other eligible categories.
