HC Deb 25 February 1946 vol 419 c1569
90. Mr. Hoy

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been drawn to the material recently produced at the trials of war criminals in Nuremberg about the role played by Haj Amin el Husseini, former Mufti of Jerusalem, in instigating and encouraging the Nazi plan of exterminating European Jewry; and what steps be has taken, or proposes to take, to have him tried as a war criminal

The Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs (Mr. McNeil)

A special inquiry is being made to obtain accurate records of any relevant evidence that may have been given to the International Military Tribunal. This matter will be considered together with any other relevant matters. As regards the second part of the Question, I have nothing to add to the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Colonies to the hon. and gallant Member for Hornsey (Mr. Gammans) on 24th October.
