§ Mr. H. MorrisonI understand that the committee under the chairmanship of Sir John Clapham which is, at the request of my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer and myself, examining the adequacy of the existing provision for research into economic and social questions, has given considerable attention 525 to this point, and 1 would prefer to wait and see any observations on it that may be made in their Report before reaching any conclusion.
