§ Mr. BevinThe plans for the withdrawal of British and French troops, which were being worked out by the military authorities in Beirut according to the recent Anglo-French Agreement, have had to be suspended pending the reference of certain points to the two Governments. I hope that progress will be resumed before long.
§ Mr. StokesMay I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether he can confirm the 381 assurance already given in this House that, eventually, the withdrawal of French and British troops will be completed?
