§ Mr. StracheyIn September, 1945, 3,355,000 gallons of milk were supplied to schools in England and Wales, and in 1958 October, 1945, 4,310,000 gallons. The estimated quantities for 1946 are 3½ million gallons in September and 4½ million gallons in October.
§ Mr. Orr-EwingIs the Minister in touch with the Minister of Education on this matter in order to discover how much of this milk is being drunk in the schools? Is he aware that there are disquieting reports on the matter?
§ Mr. StracheyWe are in touch with the Ministry of Education, who believe that the milk is not only being drunk but has a most beneficial effect.
§ Sir Henry Morris-JonesIs it not a fact that milk is being delivered to schools on Saturdays, when the schools are closed?
