§ 19. Viscount Hinchingbrookeasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that complete reconstruction of the roads between Gallows Hill and Worgret Heath and between Bere Regis and Wool, Dorset, is becoming necessary owing to the use of these roads by tanks operating from Bovington Camp; and whether he will support the application of the Dorset County Council for financial assistance out of public funds for the reconstruction of these roads which in their present state, are causing great delay and inconvenience to the public.
§ Mr. BellengerIf an application for assistance is received by my Department through the Ministry of Transport it will be sympathetically considered.
§ Mr. HarrisonWould the right hon. Gentleman assure the House that this cannot be accepted as a precedent for dealing with other similar cases?
§ Mr. BellengerI should like to deal only with this particular case at the moment.
