Resolved:
That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to relax the rules set out in the Third Schedule to the House of Commons (Redistribution of Seats) Act, 1944, so far as they relate to the application of the electoral quota and, in consequence thereof, to postpone the enumeration date for the purposes of the initial report under section three of that Act, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of any increase occasioned by the passing of the said Act of the present Session in the expenses of the Boundary Commissions which, under paragraph 3 of Part II of the First Schedule to the said Act of 1944, are to be defrayed out of moneys so provided."—(King's Recommendation signified.)—[Mr Ede.]
