HC Deb 12 December 1946 vol 431 c1334
56. Mr. Lipson

asked the Minister of Labour if he will now make a further statement on the action he is taking to deal with the grievances of the residents at the Brockworth Hostel.

Mr. Isaacs

The National Service Hostels Corporation, having had these complaints brought to their notice, decided to have an inquiry made into them and in agreement with me asked Lord Terrington to undertake the inquiry and make a report.

Mr. Lipson

While I welcome the action taken in this matter, can my right hon. Friend say when he expects to receive the report and will he have the findings made known to the residents of the hostel?

Mr. Isaacs

I cannot say definitely when I expect to receive the report but Lord Terrington has actually commenced investigations, and it will depend on the report as to what I shall do with it. However, I shall be very glad to give the hon. Member the information if he puts a Question down.
