§ The Minister of Food (Mr. Strachey)I hope that it will be possible to arrange for surplus herrings, landed on the North-East coast of England in 1947, to be processed into oil and meal at Hull and elsewhere. Herring catches are extremely variable, so I cannot promise that every surplus landed can be used in this way
