§ 21. Mr. W. Robertsasked the Minister of Health what instructions he proposes to issue to the public assistance committees to ensure that children in their orphanages are not worked in the house.
§ Mr. BevanI do not think that it would be in the children's interest that they should be prohibited from helping in the house, as other children do in their own homes. Their share should be light, and be undertaken at suitable times. A memorandum of advice to local authorities on this and similar matters is in preparation.
