§ 7. Lieut.-Colonel Sir Thomas Mooreasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether the Curtis Report on Child Adoption has now been received; and what action he proposes to take as a result of its recommendations.
§ Mr. EdeI would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Twickenham (Mr. Keeling) on 25th July.
§ Sir T. MooreIn view of the fact that the committee has been sitting for about 18 months, is it not about time that we knew the intentions of the Government?
§ Mr. EdeI gave an answer to that question only last week. The committee has spared no pains to expedite the report. I have been in correspondence with the chairman, and I expect to have the report in my hands about the time when the House resumes, if not earlier.
