Mr. Cooper-Keyasked the Minister of Labour whether he has investigated the complaint, to which his attention has already been drawn, that young men conscripted into a mine in the Durham area are being intimidated into joining the 2888 Durham Miners' Association; whether there is any compulsion for such conscripts to join a trades union; and whether he will take steps to protect these young men from intimidation.
