§ Sir. W. SmithersIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that the patience of these civil servants, who rendered such splendid and loyal service during the war, is almost at breaking point, and will he do something about it?
§ Mr. BevanThe hon. Member will, I am sure, realise that I am extremely sympathetic to the application of members of my own Department to come back to London, but the claims of other Departments have also to be taken into account.
