§ 18. Mr. Prittasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air why 1645929 L.A.C. Attwood, who is due for release under Class B, and has been transferred to Worli transit camp to await passage to this country, has been prevented from leaving and told that the reason for his detention is secret and that he can give up hope of departure.
§ Mr. StracheyI have called for a full report on this case and will communicate with the hon. and learned Member as soon as possible. I understand that the airman concerned has been placed under arrest, and, in that case, the Air Force Act provides that he must be given, within 24 hours at the most, a written account of the offence with which he is charged.
