§ 14. Mr. Bowdenasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the shortage of the larger sizes of ladies' shoes and hosiery; that shopkeepers are unable to obtain these sizes from their wholesalers; and if he will take steps to have these larger sizes manufactured.
§ Mr. BelcherWith regard to the larger sizes of ladies shoes, I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply which I have given today to the hon. Member for Abingdon (Sir R. Glyn). I am not aware that there is now any general shortage of the larger sizes of ladies' hosiery; but I should be glad to look into the cases of any retailers who are having special difficulty in getting supplies.
