§ 45. Mr. Dribergasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will make a statement on the foundation in the British zone in Germany of 'the Deutsche Aufbau Partei, a party of the extreme Right, led by persons formerly associated with the Nazi Party.
§ The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster (Mr. John Hynd)The Deutsche Aufbau Partei first came to notice in the spring of last year. It now has a small following, mainly in Schleswig Holstein. In accordance with democratic principles it has been allowed to form branches in the British Zone at Kreis, or County Level, provided that acceptable leaders are forthcoming. No persons known to-have been active Nazis lead the party. Such persons are debarred from political activity in the British Zone.
