§ 16. Mr. C. S. Taylorasked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether the post office at Pevensey Bay, which was closed during the war, will now be reopened.
§ Mr. BurkeIt has not yet been possible to reopen the post office at Pevensey Bay for lack of a candidate. An application has recently been received and, if the applicant proves suitable and can provide satisfactory premises, the office will be reopened as soon as possible.
§ Mr. TaylorDoes the hon. Gentleman realise how much inconvenience is caused at Pevensey Bay at the moment, especially in view of the large returning population which was evacuated during the war?
§ Mr. BurkeYes, Sir, I am well aware of that, but the difficulty is not merely that of finding a suitable applicant, but also that of suitable premises.
