HC Deb 10 April 1946 vol 421 cc1900-1
5. Mr. Studholme

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he is now in a position to make a statement on the proposal to establish a permanent naval camp at Wembury Point.

Mr. Dugdale

The naval range at Wembury is used for training men in gunnery and radar. This training is a permanent requirement, but I am not in a position yet to make a statement about the future of the establishment at Wembury.

Mr. Studholme

In the event of some of the land being taken over for the camp, could the hon. Gentleman say what would he the position of residents living within that area?

Mr. Dugdale

Not without notice.
