asked the Minister of Works if he will reconsider his decision to construct two prisoner-of-war camps in Eastern Enfield in view of the inadequate sewerage facilities there.

May I ask my right hon. Friend why it has taken so many months to reply to the protest of the local authority?

Mr. Tomlinson

We were looking for alternative sites. The difficulty of making provision for prisoners of war is, I think, known to all hon. Members.
