24. Mr. Medlicott

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he is aware that the output of bricks in the county of Norfolk is being curtailed by the insufficiency of fuel in the brickyards; and what steps are being taken to overcome this shortage.

Mr. Shinwell

If the hon. Member has any information regarding particular works alleged to be held up by shortage of fuel and will let me have details, I will have the matter investigated immediately.

Mr. Medlicott

Is the Minister aware that some of these brickyards have had to close down altogether; and if I am able to give him details will he try to ensure that they will be put on the priority list for home supplies?

Certainly, Sir, if I have the information, but we have no evidence to that effect.
