HC Deb 04 April 1946 vol 421 c1374
18. Dr. Haden Guest

asked the Minister of Health whether persons suffering from tuberculosis are able to obtain any extra allowance of fat towards meeting their special dietary needs.

Mr. Bevan

Yes. Sir. I am informed by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Food that a ration of two ounces of cooking fat, as compared with the normal civilian ration of one ounce, has been made available for persons suffering from tuberculosis whose condition is such as entitles them to the special milk allowance for tuberculous people.
