§ Mr. BurkeThe present annual rate of expenditure on salaries and administrative costs and for artists and speakers in Wales is £144,823, but this figure does not cover certain broadcasting fees which are paid 1388 through national agencies, including, for example, the payments to Welsh composers and holders of performing rights. This figure represents only a fraction, of course, of the expenditure on programmes available to listeners in Wales.
