HC Deb 03 April 1946 vol 421 c1249
57. Wing-Commander Robinson

asked the Minister of Food how many licences have been re-issued for the importation of Canary Island tomatoes; the number of licensees who are also licensed selling agents or wholesalers; and the percentage of the total quantity licensed which they represent.

Sir B. Smith

One hundred and thirty licences have been issued for the importation of Canary Island tomatoes of which 91 were issued to traders licensed to trade as selling agents and wholesalers. These will handle 62 per cent. of the total quantity licensed for import.
