HC Deb 03 April 1946 vol 421 cc1244-5
46. Mr. Driberģ

asked the Prime Minister whether the forthcoming atomic bomb experiments in the Pacific are the sole responsibility of the U.S. Government; and whether British and other allied scientists and observers are to take part in the experiments.

The Prime Minister (Mr. Attlee)

The forthcoming atomic bomb trials in the Pacific are the sole responsibility of the United States Government. As regards the second part of the Question, I have nothing to add to the Answer which I gave to the hon. and noble Member for South Dorset (Viscount Hinchingbrooke) on 28th January

Viscount Hinehingbrooke

Are arrangements being made for the Royal Navy to be represented at these tests?

The Prime Minister

Perhaps the hon. Member will put that Question on the Order Paper.
