§ Mr. BarnesWork required to make the road safe for traffic has been completed and the road was reopened on 26th March.
§ Mr. OsborneIs there any necessary connection between the fact that the Question was put down and the road was opened two days later? Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that that road has been standing idle since 1st January?
§ Mr. BarnesIf there is any connection, the hon. Gentleman ought to be satisfied with the action taken.
§ Mr. OsborneMay I ask the Minister if he is aware that there are many similar dual carriage roads which should and could be opened?
§ Captain CrookshankDoes that mean that the right hon. Gentleman proposes never to take action unless Questions are put down?
§ Mr. BarnesIt does not mean anything of the kind. It is useful sometimes to know that we do good work.
