§ 52. Mr. Peter Freemanasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what steps are being taken to stabilise the 418 currencies of countries under Allied control.
§ Mr. John HyndIf, as I assume, my hon. Friend is referring to Germany and Austria, the objective of a stable currency is one to which His Majesty's Government attaches importance. In the case of Austria, difficulties have arisen in obtaining the necessary quadripartite decisions but it is hoped that the difficulties will shortly be overcome.
