§ Sir John MellorWith reference to the second Order on the Paper to-day—Bank of England [Money]—may I ask the 248 Leader of the House what time the Government propose to allow for the discussion of that Resolution to-day, because I wish to draw attention to the very narrow terms of the Resolution, which in its present form, would prevent the Committee from amending the financial Clauses of the Bill.
§ The Lord President of the Council (Mr. Herbert Morrison)It is proposed to take this Order to-morrow. We understood that it was agreed officially, with the Opposition, that it should go through, but, in fact, we are not taking it until to-morrow.
