§ 28. Captain Macleodasked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is going to set up a working party to investigate the woollen textile industry; and if so, will he consider, in view of the widely differing nature of the two industries in England and Scotland, establishing separate working parties for each country.
§ Sir S. CrippsAs I have already announced, it is my intention, as soon as circumstances permit, to extend to a number of other industries the policy of inquiring into industrial efficiency by the method of tripartite working parties. I hope to discuss this matter with the whole wool textile industry in a few weeks' time. I cannot, of course, anticipate the result of that discussion.
