§ Sir S. CrippsThe extra demand created by the issue of coupons to the Forces on demobilisation was taken into account when the level of the clothing ration for the current period was decided. Owing, however, to the large demand for certain items for demobilised men, particularly suits, there will for a time be unavoidable shortages of these goods in the shops. This, however, should not prevent the demobilised men from getting other articles of clothing.
