§ Mr. BrownIs it the case, as is commonly reported in places where men meet together, that a statement was made before a meeting of one of the parties of this House—a private meeting to discuss matters like postage and so on—and, if the statement can be made to a private meeting, cannot it be made to the House?
§ The Prime MinisterI do not know anything about a statement made outside the House, but a statement will be made as soon as possible on this matter.
§ Mr. BrownI am referring to statements made inside this House and upstairs. If the Prime Minister does not know, will he inform himself on the point, and, if he finds that my information is correct, will he then consider whether he can tell the House?
