HC Deb 28 November 1945 vol 416 cc1297-8
3. Mr. Ward

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation whether his Ministry has yet begun talks with the railways and shipping lines interested in civil aviation; and whether he has any statement to make on progress.

Mr. Ivor Thomas

Conversations have been in active progress. I am not in a position to make a statement at present but my Noble Friend will do so as soon as possible.

Mr. Thomas

We are taking every step we can, but it does not rest in our hands alone.

Mr. Gallacher

In any conversations with regard to civil aviation, will the Minister see that something is done to augment the service between London and Glasgow?
