28. Mr. George Porter

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what reply has been given to the request of the Arab League for the return of the former Mufti of Jerusalem to Palestine; and if he will, inform the Arab League that this henchman of Hitler's is an enemy of the British Empire and a war criminal, and that he will be treated as such.

Mr. George Hall

I have received no request of this nature; the second part of the Question does not therefore arise.

Mr. Porter

Does not the right hon. Gentleman think it is time some definite relationship was determined as between this individual and the British Government?

We must get the man first.
