§ 40. Wing-Commander Robinsonasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air what plans have been made for the future development of the R.A.F. staff colleges.
§ Mr. StracheyThe wartime Staff College course has recently been extended from three months to six months. We intend to return to the full normal course as soon as possible, and plans to this end 425 are being developed. We are in touch with the War Office and Admiralty with the aim of ensuring the maximum coordination in training of staff officers for all three Services.
§ Mr. HoggCan the Under-Secretary tell us what the present position is with regard to finding a permanent home for this Staff College?
§ Mr. StracheyWe regard that as a matter of great importance, and we are certainly pursuing it.
