HC Deb 15 November 1945 vol 415 c2298
14. Sir Waldron Smithers

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether, now that the new House of Commons post office is provided with a pigeonhole for each Member, hon. Members may be permitted to hand in letters to their fellow Members without being under the obligation to affix the appropriate stamps.

Mr. Burke

This raises the question of free postage, and as such will fall to be considered by the Select Committee on hon. Members' expenses.
