§ Resolved:
§ "That in order to facilitate the business of Standing Committees a motion may, after two days' notice, be made by a Minister of the Crown at the commencement of public business,
- (a) "That this House do now adjourn," and if the Question thereon be not previously agreed to Mr. Speaker shall adjourn the House without Question put half an hour after such a motion has been made; or
- (b) "That this House do now adjourn till a quarter past seven o'clock this day," and the Question thereon shall be decided without amendment or debate. Provided that if, on a day on which the motion is agreed to under this Order, leave has been given to move the adjournment of the House for the purpose of discussing an urgent matter of public importance, or if opposed private business has been set down by direction of the Chairman of Ways and Means, the motion so to be decided shall be "That this House do now adjourn till a quarter past six o'clock this day."
