§ 26. Sir Hugh Lucas-Toothasked the Under-Secretary of. State for Air whether he has considered complaints from men serving in the R.A.F. at Hong Kong that there is a shortage of cigarettes for them to purchase; that mail from England reaches them erratically; and whether he will take action to rectify these matters.
§ Mr. StracheyMembers of the Royal Air Force were living under field service conditions in the first stage after the liberation of Hong Kong. But things are now improving. They can now buy N.A.A.F.I. supplies including 70 cigarettes a week, and there is now an air mail service three times a week.
