§ 48. Sir Frank Sandersonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer the total number whose income, after the deduction of tax, ranges between £250 and £500 per annum, and £6,000 and over, for the year ended 5th April, 1939, and the year ended 5th April, 1945.
