§ 21. Mr. De Chairasked the Secretary of State for Burma whether he is yet in a position to announce the decision of His Majesty's Government as a result of the deliberations of the Cabinet Committee which has been considering the future of Burma.

§ Mr. De ChairWill my right hon. Friend try to awaken some of the sleeping beauties on the Cabinet Committee and remind them that the so-called independent State of Burma which was set up by the Japanese has now been liberated without any indication from us to the Burmese people as to their future?
§ Mr. AmeryAll considerations are in the mind of the Cabinet and attention is being given to this matter.
