§ 16. Mr. Huģh Lawsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make available, in the Library of the House, the text of any memorandum from E.A.M. to the Greek Government alleging breaches in the Varkiza Agreement and the text of any reply by the Greek Government; and whether he has any statement to make on the situation.
§ Mr. EdenI understand that a memorandum has been presented by E.A.M. to the Greek Government and the full text is being obtained. When it has been received, I will consider the hon. Member's request that it should be made available in the Library of the House. The memorandum has been discussed at a personal interview between General Plastiras, M. Sophianopoulos, the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs and the E.A.M. leaders. The Greek Government have undertaken to examine all the allegations made and to take action in any cases where they are found to be correct.
