§ 48. Sir Geoffrey Manderasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give particulars of the issues that have been approved by the Capital Issues Committee during the past 12 months; of those that were not approved; and the present composition of the Committee.
§ Sir J. AndersonApart from any other considerations, I do not think, in view of the widely differing circumstances of individual cases, that publication of the particulars asked for in the first two parts of the Question would serve any useful purpose. In reply to the last part of the Question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Kidderminster (Sir J. Wardlaw-Milne) on 14th February.
§ Sir G. ManderWould my right hon. Friend consider the possibility of giving the totals and the number of applications?
§ Sir J. AndersonI will certainly consider that.
