HC Deb 07 March 1945 vol 408 c2012
35. Colonel Lyons

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, to save waste and ensure co-ordination of effort, lie will set up in the larger Colonies, regional as well as territorial, road and communications advisory boards, consisting of official and non-official representatives and arrange for collaboration between such boards and neighbouring non-British colonies.

The Secretary of State for the Colonies (Colonel Oliver Stanley)

I am grateful to my hon. and gallant Friend for his suggestion, which I will bear in mind when considering the question of the development and co-ordination of communications in the Colonies.
