§ Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House do now adjourn."—[Mr. Cary.]
1208§ 9.15 p.m.
§ Mr. Silverman (Nelson and Colne)I want to respond to the invitation made to me by the right hon. and gallant Gentleman the Member for Kelvingrove (Lieut.-Colonel Elliot). I could not do so before, because I would only have delayed the Minister and he would have lost his opportunity, but I think that, on the Motion for the Adjournment, I ought to make it clear—
§ Mr. Deputy-Speaker (Mr. Charles Williams)I am sorry to interrupt the hon. Gentleman, but there is a very strict Rule against raising matters on the Adjournment, which have been mentioned in the previous Debate.
§ Mr. SilvermanI am not going to do so.
§ Mr. Deputy-SpeakerYes, but the hon. Gentleman started off by referring to some words used in the previous Debate.
§ Question put, and agreed to.
§ Adjourned accordingly at Sixteen Minutes past Nine o'clock.
