§ 16. Colonel Clarkeasked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether any modifications have yet been decided on in the active-service leave allowance for petrol.

It has been decided that, as from 1st June, the active-service leave allowance of petrol for members of the Services coming to this country from overseas shall in future be available in respect of the cars of parents, as well as that of the applicant or his wife, or her husband, as the case may be. Further, it has been decided that a proportionately larger allowance may be granted in cases where leave is 663 granted for more than 28 days, provided that a maximum of 600 miles per annum is not exceeded.
