I beg to move, That the Clearing Office (Turkey) (Amendment) Order, 1945, dated 15th May, 1945, made by the Treasury under Sections 1 and 3 of the Debts Clearing Offices and Import Restrictions Act, 1934, a copy of which Order was presented on 18th May, be approved. The Clearing Office Order dated 15th May arises from an agreement made in 1945, the terms of which were made public in Cmd. Paper 6632. The object of this Order is to remove the obligation which was placed on exporters to make their funds available to the Clearing House under the terms of the principal Order, which they have had to do since 1936.
