HC Deb 23 January 1945 vol 407 c636
20. Mr. John Dugdale

asked the Secretary of State for War which of the United Nations besides Great Britain send members of their Women's Forces on compulsory service abroad.

Sir J. Grigg

Several of the United Nations have power to send members of their Women's Forces on compulsory service abroad. So far as my information goes, and that information does not cover the U.S.S.R., only the U.S.A. exercise it at present.
